The Bella Peregrina Advantage!:

1- We are a family operation; we live here! Owner operated & managed. No rotating crew of teenagers or inexperienced horse handlers! We have a superlative, flawless record of management and an understanding of the realities of taking on the responsibility of caring for the beloved babies of others.
2- Grassy, shady pastures that are rotated and rested.
3- Good quality hay, fed free choice, when necessary.
4- Full Care Board may opt to be fed individually. Supplements fed daily and as specified. Feed is stored securely where a loose horse can't get it. Years of traveling with our own beloved babies has shown us that if the horses aren't fed at exactly the same time every day, traveling with them becomes much easier. They are fed 2x a day every day, but when, is not an issue.
5- Clean, springfed pond and automatic waterers.
6- Horses grouped in herds by temperament, not just by gender.
7- Please feel free to use your own farrier and vet; do not feel obliged to use ours. You are welcome to come and handle your horse for all appointments, or we can do it for you for a small, reasonable fee. Our farrier comes every 6 weeks, unless requested otherwise, and our vet makes house calls if necessary. We can haul to the vet for you, for a small, reasonable fee.
8- Proximity. We are a comfortable distance from all points within the Austin, Waco, Bryan/College Station Triangle. (Including Pflugerville, Round Rock, Hutto, Georgetown, Taylor, Temple, Belton, Killeen, etc)
9- We show discretion in who boards. We encourage a friendly open atmosphere, because we are all family and friends here. We welcome all input on horse maintenance and care, and facility improvement/maintenance, within reason of course. We remind all boarders to be conscientious and close gates, clean up after themselves and their horses, etc.
10- Horse trailer parking available with adequate access

RANCH RULES

* No one under 16 years old is allowed unless accompanied by a parent/guardian. Please keep all children under control. Climbing gates, fences, rock throwing, etc. is not permitted at any time!

*Hard hats are required while riding at all times. Safety vests required when jumping. Heeled, close-toed shoes and pants are required.

* No guests are allowed to ride unless they sign in and sign a liability release.

* Personal pets are highly discouraged, however if present, all pets must be leashed. Barking and/or out of control dogs will be asked to leave.

* No one under 16 years old is allowed in pastures at any time.

* Absolutely no running, shouting, cursing, gossip, or playing allowed. If you have a problem with someone at the barn, please speak directly to THAT person, not someone else. Conflicts are resolved by talking it out, not by gossip.

* Only three horses are allowed in an arena at one time; exceptions are group lessons (ex: pony club) who will be supervised AT ALL TIMES.

* Arena times are limited to 1 1/2 hours at a time. If no one is waiting, or on the reservation list, you may ride unlimited.

* If an arena has been reserved, you must wait until time is up before being allowed to enter.

* Follow proper arena rules while riding.

* Do not handfeed any horse. Treats may be given in the feed bowl or on the ground IF OWNER OF THE HORSE GIVES PERMISSION. This keeps fingers from being mistaken as treats.

* Clean up after your horse.

* NEVER use or handle anyone's horse, tack, etc. without explicit permission to do so!
